Over the past 10 years, there have been a lot of changes within the Wisconsin and Minnesota travel softball community; but one constant has been The Danes.  As the premier travel softball program, the Danes 16U and 18U teams have been developing many of the top college players coming from the Upper Midwest.  With an equation of strong coaching, strong competition, year round softball and recruiting athletes with the right focus; the Danes have created an opportunity for Wisconsin and Minnesota youth players to know they have their best chance of meeting their future college softball goals.

Within this site, we hope to provide you with information about our current teams and schedules, details about our leadership/coaching and structure, details about our Alumni and their successes and to give potential players details if this opportunity might be something that interests them.

We have a very unique program, which has been built from humble beginnings.  We have been able to build this highly respected and successful program due to the hard work and commitment of many people.  The Danes today, are a reflection on the Danes of the past.

To provide the best opportunity for our players to develop the skills which enable them to succeed on and off the playing field.

To continuously improve as players and coaches to ensure long-term success:

Vision:  Our players are dedicated to improving their softball skills.  Our players and coaches dedicate time to gain the most valuable learning experiences and then to practice and perfect those skills through our many seasons.

To improve as individuals and become better people from the experiences of being a Dane:

Vision: Our players, coaches and parents know the value and importance of pride, sportsmanship and a positive attitude.  Being part of the Danes allows each player to gain self-confidence and a better understanding of their personal goals, values and ethics. Our players use the experiences that are unique to our team and leverage them to help them to get scholarships, careers, or other opportunities.  Each player learns lessons from the Danes which help them to be a better teammate, parent, friend, spouse and leader throughout their life. 

To continue to build a strong and growing softball program:

Vision: Our opponents, officials and other members of the softball community respect our program for its loyalty, consistent success and unique style.  Our program continues to expand to new and improved opportunities while always staying cognizant of our past, present and future.

To help foster a love for the game by our coaches, players and their parents:

Vision:  After their playing careers are over, our players return to the game as coaches, sponsors and supporters of fastpitch softball. Our coaches and parents also continue an involvement in fastpitch softball beyond the Danes either by coaching, financial support or attending other softball events.

We treat our athletes with respect and honesty and always make non-biased decisions in respect to what is the best for all players.  We realize that we can't meet every person's expectations however we are loyal to our players and expect loyalty from each player, parent and coach.  We look for players to take pride in the program and to be concerned of not only the short-term but also the long-term future

Enthusiasm

We are excited and enthusiastic about the game of softball, the Danes program, our teammates and the opportunity to learn.  We show emotion and passion on and off the field and proudly display our name along with our teammates as Danes.

Potential

We focus on Potential.  We realize that current talents and abilities are important however we focus on potential, for where someone is now has little importance to where they can go in the future.
