The Danes Coaching Approach
"We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future."
-- Franklin D. Roosevelt
The Danes coaches replicate the same level of coaching and management that the elite college softball programs use within their programs as much as possible within the summer softball format. This is a tremendous advantage for our student-athletes as they start their college careers.
The Danes are focused on developing both the physical skills as well as their overall understanding of the game.
Players are expected to dedicate non-Danes time to their own development. The Danes coaches will provide direction to the goals, objectives and expectations for mid week/off-season drill work and use online social networking for self monitoring and discussion.
The Danes strongly encourage players to make a decision on their college sports goals early in their Junior year to allow two years of focus to make those goals a reality.
Winning and losing are secondary focuses compared to learning, development and future long term success of our players at the college level.
We run aggressive defensive systems, teach cutting edge hitting mechanics (with support from the Right View Pro Software) and provide needed development of complete pitchers.
Danes coaches generally are students and former players of the game; teaching from a common set of mechanics, strategies and drills using the Danes Style Sheet. These mechanics, strategies and drills are rooted in the experience of college programs and provide a tremendous advantage to our players as they transition to the quicker college game.
We find inspiration in "The Everton Way"....

The Danes approach to coaching is one of a kind within club softball. There are many club softball teams, but no team has the committed approach to player development and personal development like the Danes. Before you accept a position with another "club team"; think about learning about the coaching and development within the Danes program.
