Coach Husted is the President and General Manager of the Danes Travel Softball Program, a program he started as a college student at UW-Eau Claire.  Over the past 16 years, he has continued in those roles each summer, fall and winter season. 

Coach Husted is a respected clinician and always looks for opportunities to work college clinics as a way to meet and coach players but also to learn from some of the best softball coaches in the upper Midwest.   Husted has worked the UW-Eau Claire Holiday and Winter clinics for the past 10 years as a clinician as well as hosts the Danes Winter Clinic Series. 

Coach Husted has helped to develop many Danes alumni and takes a ton of pride not only in their softball success but their success as people.  He also takes immense pride in the number of alumni who are now coaches at the high school and college level.

During the day, Husted is a Director at Carlson Wagonlit Travel focusing on Strategic Planning, Business Resiliency and Call Center Technologies.  CWT is the Global leader in Corporate Travel with their North American HQ at Carlson Towers in Minnetonka, MN. 

Coach Husted has NEVER made a dime off his involvement in the Danes and makes a donation to the program each year in addition to paying his own expenses as a coach. 

Coach Husted is married to Erica and they are the proud parents or Rory (Age: Less than 1).  They have lived in Eden Prairie, MN since 2007. 

Coach Witthus will be in his fourth year on the Danes coaching staff.  Coach Witthus joined the Danes in Summer of 2009 and brings a myriad of coaching experience to his role. 

Coach Witthus graduated with his degree in Physical Education and minors in Coaching, Health and Business from NDSU and did his graduate work in Exercise Physiology and Corporate/Community Fitness at Mankato State University. 

On the field, Randy was a decorated HS athlete being named all state in basketball and earning numerous other honors in baseball and football.  In 2009 he was indicated in the Glencoe HS Hall of Fame.  He was also a Golden Gloves Boxing Champion in the Upper Midwest in his youth.  Post HS, Randy played 4 years of D2 baseball and then started his coaching career.

Coach Witthus was the assistant baseball coach at Mankato State for two years under coach Dean Bowyer and has since coached at many different levels and ages within baseball and softball throughout his adult life.  He also has experience training, conditioning and rehabilitation for high school, college and pro hockey, baseball, football, basketball and softball athletes. 

During the day, Witthus is a health promotion and fitness consultant whose clients include athletic clubs, corporations, hospitals, golf courses and insurance companies.  He is also currently the General Manager of the Fitness Crossroad, a private fitness club in St. Anthony, MN.  Randy lives in Hudson, WI.

Mike served as the bench coach since the Summer of 2010 and will return to the team in a similar role in 2012.  Mike's has strong coaching experience in both softball and golf.  Mike has played fastpitch for many years and brings great athletic experience to the team.  Mike played 2 years of D2 baseball at UM-Morris.   

Mike is a big part of the pre-game warmup, serves as scorekeeper during the games and is a positive supporter for our team in the dugout.  Mike lives in Morris, MN so he drives a long way for many Danes events!

During the day, Mike works as a technical writer for Superior Industries in Morris, MN.
