The Danes are the premier travel softball program in the Upper Midwest with proven ability to help prepare players for success in the college level. The opportunity to play for the Danes is a tremendous honor in it's own rights; however we do look for players who have high potential to improve and the right attitude and turn them into great ball players.
Becoming a player on the Danes is a process which ensure that all players will benefit from the Danes experience.
Step 1: Player Discover Phase
Interested players should review the Danes 2012 Season Prospectus located within this section of our web site, review the entire web site and discuss with parents their personal goals for their softball career. In some cases, we may reach to players via email or Facebook whose name we find on post-season honors lists or college recruiting web sites.
Step 2: Prospect Form
Players who feel they would benefit from our team should fill out the "Prospect Form" located within this section of our web site. We ask players to be as detailed and expect that players (regardless of age) initiate contact with the Danes.
Step 3: Danes Discovery Phase
Once the form has been submitted, The Danes recruiting team will reply to your interest. You should expect that we will initiate a phone conversation for the player and a member of our coaching staff, a phone conversation/Facebook chat with a team captain/player and vet a players ability through scouts watching games and/or talking with high school coaches and/or opponents etc. We also will set up a call with Danes parents and a player's parents if so desired.
We will often ask players to compete for the Danes Fall and/or Dome Team to learn more about the team, coaching and goals of the program.
Step 4: Danes Roster Offer
The Danes will send an official roster offer to players through e-mail. This roster offer should be taken seriously. An initial non-refundable deposit will be expected soon after you accept the roster offer.
